Office of Audits - Recent Graduate Careers

Who We Are

A nationwide, independent team of 125 naturally curious individuals that learn about agency programs and contracts to identify areas for improvement. Our audit offices are in Atlanta, Chicago, Fort Worth, Kansas City, New York City, Oakland, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.

What We Do

We primarily perform two types of audits:

  1. Contract audits that result in possible savings or monetary recoveries. Last year, we identified $335 million in savings and $12 million in overbillings.
  2. Performance audits that determine if a program is meeting its mission or goals or could be improved. Topics include building security and construction, contracting, employee health and safety, and IT security.

We also respond to congressional inquiries and support Department of Justice criminal and civil cases.
