GSA OIG was notified by GSA’s Fleet Loss Prevention Team of possible fraudulent transactions made with a Fleet card assigned to a vehicle leased by the Hampton Roads U.S. Navy Training Support Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. An OIG investigation determined that a Navy petty officer second class was using the Fleet card to purchase gasoline for a personally owned vehicle. The petty officer second class received a non-judicial punishment including partial forfeiture of pay for two months, a reduction in rank, and an administrative separation from the Navy.
