GSA OIG was notified by a GSA contracting officer that a construction contractor was not paying wage rates specified in the contract. An OIG investigation determined that for over three years, the contractor overstated and misclassified costs of materials, equipment, labor, bonding, insurance, and profit. A settlement agreement with the Department of Justice, the contractor agreed to pay the United States $105,000 to settle civil claims.
