On March 8, 2011, Black Box Corporation agreed to pay $2.85 million to the United States Government to settle its alleged False Claims Act violations: failing to provide volume order discounts, price reductions violations, and inaccurate billing of GSA customers from 1998 through 2003. The GSA OIG's regional audit office originally identified suspicious practices in the proposed extension to the company's Multiple Award Schedule contract.
